Do judgments attach to property in Florida?
In Florida, a judgment lien can be attached to the debtor’s real estate — meaning a house, condo, land, or similar kind of property interest. Florida also allows judgment liens to be attached to the debtor’s personal property — things like jewelry, art, antiques, and other valuables.
A Florida civil judgment gives the judgment creditor the ability to create a judgment lien on the debtor’s real property. Judgment liens are governed by Section 55.10, Florida Statutes. The recorded judgment automatically attaches to all property in whatever county the judgment is recorded.
How long do Judgements last in Florida?

An unsatisfied judgment in the state of Florida will last for 20 years from the stamped date. If the judgment remains unsatisfied nearing the 20th year, it is advisable that you bring an “action on the judgment” in the same court in order to obtain a new judgment.
